A talented (and sometimes
maniacal) guitarist, Jay has played on albums for Iggy Pop, Lisa
Germano, The Wall Flowers; and producers T-Bone Burnett, Malcolm
Burn and Tony Berg. On the ironically titled Maximum Joy, their
debut release, Iodine takes dark lyrics, oozing guitars and relenting
bass lines and buries it all under deep layers of sonic treatment.
Iodine's frenzied, seemingly posessed live shows have produced
a growing number of rabid fans and glowing (sometimes fearful)
reviews, causing one reviewer to comment, "Iodine stormed the
stage like someone was going to kill their firstborn if they didn't
produce." |
